A quick word about myself seems like a good place to start this journey together.

Born in 1979, I think I can reasonably say that I am part of the first generation who had access to a computer early enough in life not to miss that particular train. I remember vividly sitting in front of these black screens, trying to make sense of DOS and its relationship with the graphical interface of Windows 3.1.

Floppy disks. Damn. Those were the days...

That was more than 20 years ago now. Since then, I've had multiple opportunities to build a career in a lot of different fields, most of which are too mundane to list here, except for one: cybersecurity. Now, there lies an interesting subject!

But, above it all and as early as I can remember, I have wanted to write. To tell stories. I guess I have my initial English literature curriculum to thank for this. The concept of narration has always fascinated me. I loved reading the moment a book was put in front of my very young eyes. During my 44 years of life, I have devoured countless books and other types of narration - audiobooks, movies, TV series, comics, mangas... Which, beyond a shadow of a doubt, places me firmly in the geek category. So be it.

Which reminds me: roleplaying games. As a Forever Game Master, I have written dozens upon dozens of extensive campaigns for a LOT of different games. I just can't seem to help myself. But everything I wrote always belonged to someone else. Their world. Their IP. Early on, I felt I wanted more. And yet, despite several attempts at fulfilling this dream of mine, life seemed to always get in my way. I just could not find the time to write something for myself.
